We are looking for a hardworking, reliable & efficient Kitchen Porter to join our small and wonderful team at Stir. We are not necessarily expecting you to have lots of experience as training will be given. However, all we really expect is someone with enthusiasm, tons of initiative and who works well in a team with a great “can-do” attitude!

You will mainly work in our busy pot wash section so will need to demonstrate an efficiency in washing up with great attention to detail in cleaning and organising your area.
In addition to this, there may be occasions when you are required to undertake basic salad and vegetable preparation.
You will be responsible for receiving all goods, check the temperatures of high-risk foods on arrival, noting any discrepancies and that all goods received are of high quality. Any issues should be directed to the lead Kitchen staff.
You, along with the rest of the team, will also be responsible for undertaking various daily kitchen tasks such as relevant food safety and hygiene checks and completing the necessary paperwork. If you don’t have a relevant food safety qualification, don’t worry! We will arrange for you to undertake the necessary training.
We are a small team and therefore the right attitude is extremely important. This means that we are looking for someone who is:
• approachable, friendly & who can deliver a professional service at all times
• able to follow instructions, work unsupervised but not afraid to ask if something isn’t clear/straightforward
• detail conscious
• able to work well under pressure
• efficient and able to manage their work space and time well.
• Reliable, punctual and a hard worker
The position is full-time and permanent, with a good competitive rate of pay. We will expect you to work around 40 to 45 hours per week, which will include working weekends.
